RMS Titanic was a huge passenger ship to travel England to the United States.

A British shipping company named White Star Line (WSL) was the owner and operator of the ship.

Her route was from Southampton to New York City.

Titanic was built in Harland and Wolff shipyard, Belfast in Northern Ireland.

More than 14000 workers worked more than one year to build this giant ship.

The construction process of the ship started on March 31, 1909, and launched on May 31, 1911.

She had two sister ships built with the same class. RMS Olympic and HMHS Britannic.

The RMS Titanic completed the building and authorization process on April 2, 1912. When the ship came to the limelight, the builder claimed publicly that the ship would never sink.

People were so excited to get aboard the most luxurious ship at that time.

On 10 April 1912, the maiden voyage was made by the ship with 2,435 passengers excluded around 900 crews. The capacity of the ship was 3,300 in total.

Well, the claim had proven wrong to the world when this iconic ship sank by hitting an iceberg near Canada on April 14, 1912.

The disaster took the lives of around 1,500 unlucky passengers. Around 705 people managed to survive the tragedy luckily.

The news hit people from different places as it was the biggest accident in the shipping industry at that time.

Many writers have written books & novels on this historical ship.

You can read books on the RMS Titanic, like ‘Titanic: A Journey Through Time‘ and ‘Titanic: The Story Of The Unsinkable Ship‘.

The Canadian film director James Cameron did a great job presenting the tragedy of Titanic nicely to the world in 1997 by his film.

‘Titanic Never Sank’ – Conspiracy Theory

RMS Titanic & RMS Olympic

This is the most favorite conspiracy story on Titanic to me.

Titanic had a sister ship RMS Olympic, they were maybe twins. The ship was mostly the same as Titanic with the same class as Ocean-Liner.

Some believe that the builder company White Star Line plotted the worst setup to get the money from their insurance company.

If this story is real, it would be the worst insurance scam in history.

After the accident, a famous writer and conspiracy theory specialist named Robin Gardiner write a book titled ‘Titanic: The Ship That Never Sank?‘ The book made this conspiracy theory strong.

White Star Line company had planned to build three luxurious Ocean-Liner passenger ships.

The first ship is RMS Olympic, the second is RMS Titanic, and the third one is HMHS Britannic.

On 14 June 1911, RMS Olympic had made her maiden voyage.

On 20 September the same year, Olympic was on the way to her 5th voyage. When Olympic was on the route she hit a British Warship HMS Hawke (1891).

As a result of the collision, Olympic had two big holes on the lower side.

After the accident took part, the WSL company asked the insurance company to pay the repairing cost of the ship.

But the insurance company refused and said that the reason was not specific as the deed they made.

At that time Titanic was on the shipyard getting her final touch.

The company invested almost every penny they had. So after the accident, the company was almost on its way to bankruptcy.

A famous American investor J.P. Morgan invested a lot of money to build this luxurious ship. And the owner of White Star Line company J. Bruce Ismay was also a cunning businessman.

Specialists say these two cunning people had planned for the biggest insurance scam in history.

That time they thought if the new ship sank, the insurance company couldn’t deny giving them the money. They also planned to switch two ships.

The RMS Olympic was taken to the shipyard in Belfast for a short repair. At the same time, Titanic had everything completed.

In the first week of March 1912, the RMS Olympic and Titanic had last seen together. Within one night they had changed everything.

The RMS Olympic left Belfast on 7th March 1912. But conspiracy theory specialists believe that the ship was the new Titanic with a changed old name.

The Titanic was then getting ready to have her first voyage. (Actually was the old ship Olympic).

Some crews of the Titanic (Olympic) had resigned. And some of the passengers from the first-class including J. P. Morgan suddenly canceled their journey which added more suspense.

On 10th April 1912, the Titanic left Southampton for making her way to New York. The owners knew that the ship was going to sink.

For that, they were also planned for rescuing the passengers with J. P. Morgan’s cargo ship SS Californian.

That ship was stuck at the port of London because of a coal strike. But the ship suddenly and mysteriously left the port for sailing to America.

Ships using the same routes before the Titanic had alarmed for the iceberg more than twice. But the radio operator didn’t respond and was careful.

At last on 14 April 1912, the Titanic hit the iceberg and sank in the deep of the Atlantic.

It took 1500 lives.

At that time government didn’t investigate well to make the issue silent. The SS Californian couldn’t rescue a single passenger because of miscommunication.

The Olympic (New Titanic) was on service for the long 25 years after that tragedy.

So should we trust this? It’s up to you cause it is one of the conspiracy theories on the sinking of the Titanic.

Other Crazy Conspiracy Theories on Titanic

sinking of titanic

Year after year people has discussed a lot about Titanic. Different-minded people researched differently on the issue made by the tragedy.

But some people figure out many reasons for the tragedy.

I can’t say all these things are real, but the thrill of these conspiracy theories will make you think twice about the sinking of the Titanic.

Conspiracy theory specialists from different places are still arguing that the sinking of the ship was a simple accident or a dark worst setup.

Let’s talk about some more conspiracy theories on the most famous luxurious ship in history.

⮞ Some believe that J.P. Morgan set up the disaster to kill his business rivals. Three men named Jacob Astor, Isidor Straus, and Benjamin Guggenheim were onboard at the first voyage of the luxurious ship ever built that time. Morgan planned to kill them to dominate his position. But does anybody set a billion-dollar disaster like this just to kill the competitors?
⮞ A survived man claimed that a mummy cursed the Titanic. Well, the mummy he was talking about is still in the British Museum and there was no mummy on board the ship. So it seems unreal to me!
⮞ Some people believe the ship had so many numeric signs that indicate a bit of great bad luck. That’s why Titanic had this fate. But it’s an unreal myth I guess!

End Words

Thinking about Titanic with my tiny brain says there is must be something unusual on the sinking of the Titanic.

But that is not like a spiritual thing. Maybe the owners of Titanic plotted an insurance scam.

The Titanic is not only a ship name but also a name of emotion.

People were so shocked that they overthought and gave birth to many conspiracy theories.

The truth is, the ship hit a giant iceberg and we lost 1500 smiles. Unlucky smiles!
