Thanksgiving Reflections

As I sit here looking at our product line and planning with our Head of Operations for Black Friday and the wave of holiday madness ahead, our conversation took a turn. We started talking about giving grace to others. Better understanding. Better listening. Clearer communication. More inspiration and motivation. We talked about what it really takes to survive and thrive as female leaders in this wild beauty and consumer goods market.
While speaking with Kristen, it hit me. Success is not only about the product you create or the service you offer. It is built by the people who stand beside you helping you push forward through every finish line. Creating EthoSun has not been easy. It has been challenging with shady contract manufacturers, empty promises, and egos that serve no purpose in business. Yet every setback has taught me something strong and lasting. In order to thrive you must know how to survive.
Every challenge every hurdle every bad actor who steps in the way becomes another victory waiting to happen. The key is trusting yourself enough to enforce boundaries and move forward with intention. We often worry too much about how our decisions will affect others in business. What I keep learning from Kristen and from building EthoSun is simple. It is business not personal. We must make decisions that protect our brand our mission and our future even when it feels uncomfortable.
Sometimes I need that reminder more than once. As we gear up for the holidays and prepare to expand our product line and distribution in the coming year I realize exactly what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving.
I am thankful for the people around me. The ones who show up. The ones who teach me. The ones who push with me and stand firmly for this vision that began as a dream.
This season I am filled with gratitude for the journey for the lessons for the resilience and for the community that believes in EthoSun as much as I do.
Happy Thanksgiving from my heart to yours.
